You Are Loved

Hello, beautiful daughters. Around this time of year, I’m afraid that many of you feel unloved, avoided, discarded, and heart broken. I must confess that I have felt that way too, in the past. These feelings are real and they stink, but it’s not true that you are unloved. We are constantly told by magazines and Disney to follow our hearts but, often times, our hearts lead us astray, leaving us broken. God doesn’t want that. He doesn’t want to see you believe the lies that you are unloved, unwanted, or unneeded. That is why he gave us the Bible. This book is filled with the most beautiful love letters I have ever seen. Here are some of the words that God wrote for you, precious daughter; so that you know the love that he has for you.

First, read Ephesians 1:3-14. This passage in scripture talks about how you belong to Jesus. He has adopted you as his princess. His daughter. When you accept Jesus in your heart he marks you with his seal which is the Holy spirit. When kings take their seal and stamp it into hard wax, whatever decree they placed their seal on is unbreakable. Not even the king himself will overwrite the seal because that seal is his promise. The seal of the Holy Spirit is God’s promise to you that you are his and he will never take that seal off of you just because you failed, sinned, or ran away from him. He doesn’t say, “Oh! Look at that. Sarah is sinning again. I guess she’s not my daughter anymore.” God would never say that because he knows that “…there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sins.” Ecclesiates 7:20. When he adopts you he doesn’t say, “I will take her only if she is good or only if she stays a virgin or only if she never makes a mistake.” He will NEVER do that. He gives his adoption freely (Ephesians 1:6) and forgives us for all the wrong things that we have done or ever will do (Ephesians 1:7).

Our King didn’t adopt us because of anything that we did. We didn’t earn the right to be his daughters. We have all sinned and fallen short (Romans 3:23). It is because of Jesus why we are able to be God’s children today. God gave his only kid, Jesus, to die so that he could adopt us. He wants you as his daughter that badly. Boyfriends might leave us, daddies may leave us, friends could leave us, but our Heavenly Father never will. “…he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6. His adoption is permanent. His love is stable and never changing.

Do you want to read more of these amazing love letters from God to you? Here are a few more verses that are soaked in his love for you, his precious child:

  1. Read Romans 8:1-4. Because of his love for you, you are set free! You no longer have to live like many of those around you do. You don’t have to live in sin anymore because Jesus has taken all of your sins upon himself. “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” John 8:12.

  2. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28.

  3. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38

  4. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

  5. “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

  6. “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight…” Ephesians 1:4. Even before the world was made he knew that he wanted to adopt you and forgive your sins. He views you as his blameless and pure white daughter. He chose to love you so long ago and will love you forever.

  7. “He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.” 1 Peter 1:20. The “He” in this verse is Jesus Christ. Way before the world existed God decided that Jesus would die for you so that you could live forever with him in heaven.

There are so many other Bible verses and stories that describe Jesus’s love for you, that I don’t have enough room to right them all down! Thankfully for you Bibles are not that difficult to find and I sincerely hope that you continue to pursue Jesus in his word (a.k.a. the most beautiful V-Day card ever). Happy reading!
